In honor of Earth Week, every day this week we'll be highlighting "One Simple Thing" you can do to lighten your impact on the planet by being more energy efficient. Our first, courtesy of Greenpeace India, is this stunning video detailing India's "Ban the Bulb!" movement. What? You didn't know?
Here's how it works. Pull together a couple years of rowdy protest, a touch of Star Wars ... a series of moves to make a high school band swoon... and a smidge of Ghandi, and you get: A land that can say "No!" to hot burning, inefficient incandescent bulbs, and embrace the cool-burning beauty of energy efficient, long lasting CFLs.
So own your energy... if India can do it... you can, too! Turn up the volume, sing and dance your way through your house or your apartment (it's a killer beat) and change those bulbs like crazy.
