homeworkIn case you haven't figured it out, there's a ton of great information on the web for aspiring home performance professionals and seasoned veterans alike. Whether you're a recent college grad looking to get into the energy auditing business, an HVAC contractor looking to expand into home performance, or an established expert looking to expand your reputation and take your business to the next level, resources abound.

And, while the big national conferences like ACI are amazing, you don't necessarily have to fly across the country to take advantage of the expertise that's out there. Webinars are a good way to connect with experts, gain valuable business insights and even get some BPI CEU's.

This week alone, there are three webinars that will be worth attending for home performance professionals of every stripe:

Wednesday, October 2: The latest in online reviews for local SEO (Energy Circle PRO)

In basic terms, local SEO refers to efforts to get your business found in search results for terms that have a geographic modifier (e.g. "energy audits Minneapolis"). For small and medium sized businesses like those in the home performance industry, the vast majority of which are inherently local businesses, local SEO can be a crucial component of a successful business.

One of the most important and most-talked-about components of an effective local SEO strategy is online reviews, and much misinformaton abounds about the best way to get online reviews for your business. How do you ask for them? How should you not ask for them? Why do they matter? We'll cover each of these questions and more in this free webinar for Energy Circle PRO customers. (We do reserve a few spots in each of our webinars for non EC Pro customers, too, so if you're interested in sitting in, let us know).

Thursday, October 3: Women in Home Performance (ACI)

Women have played a critical role in the development of the home performance industry since its beginnings several decades ago. In an industry somewhat dominated by males, female figures have nonetheless been instrumental to the success of the industry.

In this ACI webinar, which costs $49, you can expect great content that will be useful for women and men alike.

Tuesday, October 8: Creating a Home Performance Business Plan (Efficiency First)

So you've got your BPI certifications, you've trained in the field, you have your blower door in hand and you're ready to embark on a new career in the home performance industry. But you're missing one critical piece of the puzzle... you don't know how to run a business.

This webinar from Efficiency First covers all of the basics of setting up a business plan for your new home performance business, with a particular emphasis on preparing for the winter months. The webinar is free for Build It Green Energy Upgrade Participating Contractors, free for Efficiency First members, and $50 for non-members.

Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog.
Is it hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast.
I'm thinking about setting up my own but I'm not sure where to begin.

Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it
