The Belkin Conserve Insight™ Monitor (Insight) is a plug-level energy monitor that can help you monitor a single device or a powerstrip of devices (provided they do not exceed 1800 watts), giving you an exceptional tool to track down and destroy (or rather, unplug or refit with a smart powerstrip) the vampires in your home.

Just plug the Insight into the wall socket, plug your electronics into it and read the current power use on the handy wired display. It has a five foot cord that makes it great for use in monitoring refrigerators, kitchen appliances, and other devices that don't necessarily have easy plug access, and where a larger plug-in monitor (like the Kill-a-Watt) would be unwieldy or unreadable. 

The Insight does not offer the same tracking and estimating abilities as the Kill-a-Watt or other more complex monitors, but it provides an estimate of your carbon impact, estimates of the 30-day and annual cost for using the monitored device, and by entering your own electric rates you can refine these estimates nicely. The insight is accurate above 0.5 watts and maxes out at 1800.
