Knowing is half the battle: the Black & Decker thermal leak detector will locate air leaks, drafts, and deficiencies in your home's thermal envelope. Simply shine the light at a wall to establish a reference temperature, and then move it around a room to find thermal leaks. When the temperature changes 1, 5, or 10 degrees - you decide - the indicator turns red or blue to indicate hot or cold spots. It also displays the temperature of the target surface on an LCD screen in Fahrenheit or Celsius. The draft detector comes with a booklet that shows easy ways take care of those thermal leaks with air sealing or insulation.
