Quick Overview
Hand-cranked Weatherband Radio offers an LED flashlight and gets you National Weather Service info anywhere and anytime.
Product Description
One tough, take it on the chin, bad boy self-powering, solar, wind-up, rechargeable radio here. Next to a good bottle of bourbon and a warm blanket, it's the next thing you'd want on a deserted island. The Weatherband Radio provides reliable access to commercial AM or FM news and music channels, and National Weather Service information anywhere and anytime. It has an LED flashlight and, with a 60-second wind-up recharge, will play for an hour. It also has an external adapter and solar cells to recharge the battery, which is capable of powering the radio for 25 hours. The 7 NOAA (USA) / MSC (Canadian) channels have a separate tuning mechanism allowing quick switches from conventional programming to weather broadcasts. It's smaller than a football, just as rugged, and sounds good too.

only thing you need when the power goes out - flashlight, weather updates - this is a real high-quality radio and has come through for me in some tough spots. highly recommended.
Posted by Dan T on Jul 7, 2009 7:42pmwe take this radio out to the tramp with us. we can use it almost all day long, but when it loses power we do tricks while cranking it back up.
Posted by the teenager on Jul 6, 2009 12:37pmThis radio keeps us connected--to tunes and the weather during outages and outings. We love the fact that you can crank this to power or pull from solar. Cool.
