Product Description
Sure you have a flashlight. It’s in that drawer in the kitchen. So handy. Thing is – the batteries are dead. The other one, in the basement, needed a bulb replaced and you didn’t quite get around to buying one after the power went back on. Sound right? Then you’re in very good company. (Well, we think we’re good company). And here’s an easy way to feel all kinds of smart again: The Freeplay Kito Flashlight is ready when you need it. Every time. Crank this light for 60 seconds, and it will shine for an hour. (Crank more, get longer light). It’s flexible. Cranks in either direction, has an ergonomic handle, and is virtually indestructible, full of clever technology to expand the life of the gear train. The testers who tried to wear it out failed after 10,000 crank charges.

Customer Reviews
Batteries are for lame-o's. Crank-powered is the way to go, for convenience and for the environment, and this is a solid and trusty flashlight. My only regret is that you can't buy more crank-powered stuff - TVs, microwaves... anyone?
Posted by Dave on Jul 27, 2009 2:07pmI got this from my parents for a canoe trip. Our old crank flashlights are all sticky and hard to turn this is easy and super bright. Cool. You should give it to your kid. I'm keeping this one.
