The C-90B Friedrich air-purifier quite frankly blows the competition out of the room. Rather than rely upon HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filters, which are costly and need frequent replacing, this air purifier uses electrostatic precipitators, a technology which draws air in the back of the unit, through an electrical field. Charged particles are trapped on opposite charged collector plates, and fresh air is blown back into the room. Customers credit this purifier with reducing sinus pain, eradicating smoke smells, and squelching the effects of asthma. We love this air purifier because it earns one of the highest clean air delivery rates (CADR) in the industry, while garnering energy star kudos for being 35% more energy-efficient than conventional air cleaners.
