I bought two of these, both of which I had planned to use for Christmas lights. Once the package arrived, however, I realized that I needed one for the space heater in my daughter's room. She never remembers to turn it off, and she only needs it at night. I've also added one to the plug that powers two printers and a monitor on the family computer, none of which need power while we're sleeping. I'm not saving tons of energy with this second one, but every little bit helps.
Now, of course, I have none left for my Christmas lights.
