Product Description
A healthy, efficient home requires proper ventilation in key locations, including moisture (and aroma) prone bathrooms. In the past, having an effective bathroom fan meant enduring a droning noise of tiny whipping fan blades, and dazzling wattage drain. Not any more. Panasonic Whisperfit-Lite VFL2 fans operate using a wide double suction blower wheel, which turns more slowly and quietly, drawing air from both sides to provide increased ventilation, quietly and efficiently. Panasonic's efficiency is not limited to the fan. Two energy-efficient 18-watt compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) provide overhead light when the bathroom is in use. An additional 4 watt nightlight reduces night-time fumbling and saves electricity. Built-in back draft damper. ENERGY STAR qualified, and then some. Bulbs included. This is a perfect upgrade for ineffective, loud, wattage-guzzling fans. The Whisperfit-Lite fan housing is built to last - made of painted heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel - and is designed to replace existing applications seamlessly. It will fit joist cavities as shallow 6 inches, and an optional 3 inch duct adaptor is included for situations requiring a duct diameter smaller than 4 inches. To make installation easy, detachable adaptors, firmly secured duct ends, adjustable mounting brackets (up to 26"), and fan/motor units that detach easily from the housing are included. This model also features a double-hanger bar system to ease positioning.

It's quiet, I have one in each bathroom (WhisperFit Lite in the master, WhisperGreen in the guest, WhisperWall in the downstairs) and together, if I'm not mistaken, it's sufficient mechanical ventilation for my entire house (ASHRAE) if I run them continuously. With these Panasonic fans, it's possible to do that, because they're energy efficient, and they're so quiet I barely notice they're on. They're great because I've been doing some air sealing, so want to be sure I have adequate ventilation for safety issues in the house - with these, I got it.
