Conveniently shaped like a standard incandescent lightbulb, this LED bulb produces an even, diffuse light, contains no mercury, and has a rated life of 40,000 hours, which is about 20 years of warm white ambient light.

LED still not common and it cannot meet high lighting needs. LED is around in battery operated units and it gives week light which is OK

Beside not all application can be covered by this new type of Lamps
I was in the US last May I did not see in the Market this LED Bulbs. I understand the saving gained by having cooler bulbs to reduce cost of Bills, but prime High cost will not be attractive. CFL Lamps still good and can do the job and not expensive, but we must be carful if one breaks down
