Functional LED lighting. The eW Profile Powercore Fixture from Royal Philips Electronics will provide pleasant warm white light for approximately 55,000 hours (at an average use of 5 hours per day, that's about 30 years). As an LED light, this fixture is super efficient, running on just 5.5 watts for a light output of 150 lumens (equivalent to a 15-25 watt incandescent bulb). It does not contain mercury, does not emit ultraviolet light or infrared radiation, and it runs cool, so it won't heat up your house or cause any other type of heat-related problems. This fixture has easy-to-adjust clips for hooking to the under side of a cabinet. (The mounting screws, sadly, are not included.)

This fixture can be connected with standard line-neutral-ground wiring. There is also the option of plugging it in to a standard outlet, but the powercord must be purchased separately. An end-to-end connector is included with each Powercore fixture, for connecting two or more fixtures together on one switch; longer connector cables (6", 12", 18", 60") are available as well, if you'd like to space those fixtures further apart (the overall length can be up to 50 feet).
