Quick Overview
The easy, breezy way to tackle big gaps around pipes and other gaping spaces.
Product Description
Touch n’ Seal lives up to its name: No extra caulking gun is required (spray straight from the can, like your mother-in-law’s hairspray) and the foam hardens rock-solid in just 4 hours (like your grandmother's hairspray). Touch n’ Seal is a low-expansion foam best suited to areas too large for a bead of caulk — the holes through which pipes and wires travel, for example. Touch n’ Seal foam has an R-level of 4.9 and also complies with green VOC standards. (Volatile Organic Compounds, which are harmful and often released by such foams and caulks, are kept to a minimum here). Touch n’ Seal also contains a flame retardant, making it a better choice than most foams for insulating around electrical wires or other areas that might get hot. That said - please avoid contact with fireplaces and stoves.
We Thought You'd Like To Know
Touch n’ Seal Straw Foam isn't all that pretty. Unless you like to decorate the living room with yellowish, bulbous strings of foam, you'll want to keep your super-impressive energy saving achievements with this product more or less out of sight. This product is ideal for basements and around pipes, not mantles or window-sills. As a rule of thumb, a 12 oz can is good for about 1000 linear feet (based on a 1/4 –inch glob of foam). (The foam is formulated to yield 918 linear feet of 1/4" bead (0.4 cubic feet)). One bonus feature: It works on your terms. You can cap it, then reopen and reuse it later on.
