Cutting plastic six-pack rings to spare marine animal life since she was 10, Lisa's environmental values have always been paired with practical application. She founded Reternity, a full-service recycling service for small businesses and restaurants in the Portland, Maine area. Later, as a recycling specialist at Waste Management of Maine, her persona as resident treehugger was quickly dispelled when she proved to management that recycling could be profitable. They bought her a truck. As deputy director of GrowSmart Maine, Lisa spearheaded the outreach efforts and drove the van that led the Brookings Institution road trip in 2007. That road trip, consisting of public 'listening sessions,' informed the research and writing of "Charting Maine's Future: An Action Plan for Creating Sustainable Future and Quality Places," also known as The Brookings Report. The Report's release had a significant impact on Maine people and policy-makers. Its policy recommendations continue to be borne out at the legislative and local levels. Lisa was trained in the art of customer service at L.L. Bean. Dedication to extremely high standards in customer service drives Lisa's work at Energy Circle. She is a graduate of the University of Maine, where her love of the state created deep roots. She has a secret passion for foaming and caulking.

Jeff has spent his professional career in collaborative roles where the lines between creative and technical are blurred. An education and BFA degree from Maine College of Art have given him a strong background in the fine arts and a keen eye for detail and a work ethic—much like a fine artist, never rests. As a former founder and co-owner of a small design studio and freelancer, he has a unique perspective of building from the ground up. As the primary interactive designer for a catalog startup, he's managed, designed and executed aggressive email marketing campaigns, maintained a busy ecommerce web presence and worked on an effort to re-focus and energize the brand. In his current role, Jeff is as at home on a digital canvas, in a text editor making a design come alive with code. He's well-versed in keeping multiple projects for a wide variety clients on task and on schedule and takes pride in making every client feel like they’re the only one. He's a firm believer in not only the ability to wear many hats, but the willingness to wear the ones that take you out of your comfort zone. Outside of work, he can be found chasing his toddler, working on his house or in his studio with a paintbrush in his hand.
Todd has been developing websites in Drupal since the dark ages of Drupal 4. He started southern Maine's Drupal User Group in 2008, and has been a group manager ever since. He specializes in site information architecture and workflow design, and especially enjoys building new features customized to the business needs of clients.
Since he is responsible for addressing both the needs of site visitors and the needs of site owners who want to see ROI in the web project, he's always asking people what the business objectives are, what the purpose of each feature is, the expected outcomes and how the site needs to work to achieve all of that. He thinks in terms of data structures and user interfaces (especially while you are telling him the purpose of a feature or how it's supposed to work).
Outside the world of website development, he is the leading subject matter expert in WWI-era submarine chasers, author of the book, Hunters of the Steel Sharks: The Submarine Chasers of WWI, and editor of an extensive online archive of chaser-related photos, documents and stories (built in Drupal, of course). And, he loves gardening. This, in case you're wondering, is what you can do with a degree in philosophy.

Matt joined the ranks of Energy Circle's PPC Strategists in 2017. He spent the previous 4+ years managing digital marketing campaigns for clients in multiple industries for another Maine agency. As a dedicated PPC he gets to focus on making data based decisions that will positively impact his clients bottom line. And use lots of spreadsheets... which he seems to genuinely enjoy.
After years biking and snowboarding in the Rocky Mountains, Matt received his marketing degree from the University of Southern Maine, graduating summa cum laude in 2010. He currently lives in Bath with his wife in a tiny circa 1870 house near the banks of the mighty Kennebec River. Born and raised in Maine, Shane grew up with a love for nature. An avid hiker, he has seen the tops of many mountains in the Northeast with his family and friends. At Energy Circle, Shane is responsible for assisting in in-house marketing team projects and writing content for clients. When he’s not working, Shane is an avid sports fan (football, baseball, basketball and hockey), writer (creative works) and movie geek.
